Österreich 2025 – Arbeitszeitverteilung in Österreich. Analyse und Optionen aus Sicht der Arbeitnehmerinnen und Arbeitnehmer

Abstract

Wie die Analyse von Dauer, Lage und Verteilung der Wochenarbeitszeit von unselbständig Beschäftigten in Österreich zeigt, ist die Erwerbsarbeitszeit ungleich zwischen Frauen und Männern verteilt. Die realisierten und die präferierten Arbeitszeiten stimmen für ein Viertel der unselbständig Beschäftigten nicht zusammen. Darauf aufbauend werden als Stellschrauben einer modernen Arbeitszeitpolitik vorhandene Instrumente im Bereich der Familien-, Bildungs- und Arbeitsmarktpolitik skizziert und Reformoptionen aufgezeigt, die eine Gleichstellungs- und Lebensphasenorientierung in der Arbeitszeitgestaltung unterstützen und den sich ändernden Arbeitszeitpräferenzen und Arbeitszeitmöglichkeiten im Lebensverlauf Rechnung tragen.
