Eine Flash-Schätzung für die privaten Konsumausgaben in Deutschland

Abstract

Dem privaten Konsum als gewichtigste Verwendungskomponente kommt im Rahmen einer jeden Konjunkturprognose eine große Bedeutung zu. Der Artikel untersucht die Prognosegüte einer Vielzahl von Indikatoren, die in der kurzen Frist für die Prognose des privaten Konsums herangezogen werden können. Es zeigt sich, dass besonders Umfrageergebnisse und Indikatoren aus der amtlichen Preisstatistik die höchste Treffsicherheit für das laufende und folgende Quartal aufweisen. Ebenfalls sehr gute Prognosen liefert der vom ifo Institut entwickelte Kombinationsansatz. Auf Basis dieses Kombinationsansatzes dürfte die Zuwachsrate des realen privaten Konsums im dritten und vierten Vierteljahr 2016 bei jeweils 0,4% liegen.
