Westdeutsche Industrie investiert 2001 mehr als geplant

Abstract

Nach den neuesten Ergebnissen des ifo Investitionstests hat das verarbeitende Gewerbe in Westdeutschland seine Investitionspläne im letzten Jahr nur zum Teil realisiert, aber seine Investitionsabsichten für 2001 nach oben korrigiert. Im Jahr 2000 erhöhten die Unternehmen mit knapp 90 Mrd. DM ihre Investitionen gegenüber dem Vorjahr nur um 2%. In diesem Jahr will das westdeutsche verarbeitende Gewerbe seine Ausgaben für neue Bauten und Ausrüstungsgüter um rund 5% steigern. Die Unternehmen sehen dabei ihren Investitionsschwerpunkt in der Erweiterung, während das Rationalisierungsmotiv an Bedeutung verliert.
