Verarbeitendes Gewerbe der neuen Bundesländer: 2001 nach sechs Jahren erstmals wieder Investitionsanstieg?

Abstract

Gemäß dem »ifo Investitionstest neue Bundesländer« vom Herbst 2000, ist für das vergangene Jahr mit einem Rückgang der Investitionen des verarbeitenden Gewerbes um 7½% zu rechnen. Kräftig angehoben wurden die Investitionsbudgets jedoch im Investitionsgütergewerbe, insbesondere im Bereich der Elektrotechnik, während der Grundstoffsektor und die Konsumgüterproduktion Einbußen verzeichneten. Im laufenden Jahr könnten die Investitionsausgaben einen Anstieg um knapp 4% verzeichnen, jedoch nur wegen einiger weniger Großprojekte. Hier kommen insbesondere die Projekte im Bauelementsektor zum Tragen, die allein ein Viertel der Gesamtinvestitionen des verarbeitenden Gewerbes auf sich vereinen. Der Anteil der Investitionsgüterproduzenten insgesamt beträgt in diesem Jahr 55%. In vielen Branchen des ostdeutschen verarbeitenden Gewerbes bestehen noch völlig andere Strukturen der Investitionsziele als in den alten Bundesländern.
