Elektroindustrie: Schwache Nachfrage

Abstract

Die Elektroindustrie gehört mit einem Umsatz- und Beschäftigtenanteil von rund 14% zu den größten Branchen des verarbeitenden Gewerbes. Sie durchlief im Jahr 2000 einen außergewöhnlichen Wachstumsprozess und erzielte ihr bestes Ergebnis seit dem Jahr 1970. Im Jahr 2001 bekam die Branche eine starke Nachfrageschwäche zu spüren, die sich insbesondere beim Auslandsgeschäft zeigte. Eine Verbesserung der gegenwärtigen Situation wird sich erst im kommenden Frühjahr einstellen, wenn mit der erwarteten Erholung der Weltwirtschaft die Ausfuhr der traditionell exportorientierten Elektroindustrie wieder steigen wird. Das Wachstum der realen Produktion dürfte 2001 rund 4% und 2002 etwa 1% erreichen und ist damit gegenüber dem Jahr 2000 (12%) erheblich geringer. Diese Zuwachsraten lassen kaum eine Ertragsverbesserung in den Jahren 2001 und 2002 erwarten, denn der Wettbewerb wird unverändert hart bleiben. Allerdings wird sich die preisliche Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der deutschen Hersteller im nächsten Jahr trotz der Aufwertung des Euro leicht verbessern, da ihre Stückkosten schwächer steigen werden als jene der Konkurrenten im Ausland.
