Baukonjunktur 2001/02: Noch tiefer ins Tal

Abstract

Die deutsche Bauwirtschaft ist im vergangenen Jahr erneut in einen kräftigen Abwärtsstrudel geraten. Nimmt man die Bauinvestitionen als gebräuchlichste Messgröße, wird sich die Talfahrt 2001 beschleunigen und auch 2002 noch nicht beendet sein. Die Entwicklungen im Bausektor zwischen West- und Ostdeutschland weisen weiterhin gravierende Unterschiede auf. Nach den Prognosen des ifo Instituts werden die westdeutschen Bauinvestitionen im laufenden Jahr um fast 4% und 2002 weiter um rund 1½% schrumpfen; für die neuen Länder wird ein Rückgang um über 10% bzw. um rund 4% erwartet. Im gesamten Bundesgebiet sinken die Bauinvestitionen um 5½% in diesem und um 2% im nächsten Jahr. Damit bleibt der Bausektor eine gewichtige Bremse des gesamtwirtschaftlichen Erholungsprozesses.
