Pénzügyi képességek és a mélyszegény, szegregált roma családok pénzügyi helyzete
[Financial capabilities and the financial situation of Roma families living in extreme poverty and spatial segregation]

Abstract

A pénzügyi inklúzióra a döntéshozók sokszor a társadalmi integráció eszközeként tekintenek, az inklúzió egyik fontos eszközének pedig a pénzügyi tudatosság fejlesztését tartják. E logika szerint a társadalom szegregált, stigmatizált, mélyszegény rétegeiben a pénzügyi tudatosság fejlesztésén keresztül (is) támogatható a pénzügyi inklúzió, és így végső soron az érintettek jólléte. Tanulmányunkban ezen logikai lánc érvényességét vizsgáljuk egy hosszú távú együttműködési folyamatra építve, félig strukturált egyéni mélyinterjúkra és kvalitatív jellegű megfigyeléseinkre alapozva. Következtetésünk, hogy a fenti logikai lánc (pénzügyi tudatosság fejlesztése ’ pénzügyi inklúzió ’ jóllét) a középosztály perspektíváját tükrözi, s mint ilyen, meglehetősen provincionális, lévén az érintett közösségekben számos olyan megélhetési stratégia van jelen, amely a pénzügyi tudatosság konvencionális megközelítésmódjával nem mérhető és értelmezhető. Így az érintettek társadalmi integrációjának tényleges elősegítése érdekében érdemesebb a pénzügyi képességek megközelítése által hangsúlyozott speciális, elsősorban a szegregációhoz, szegénységhez és stigmatizációhoz kapcsolódó társadalmi átváltási tényezőkre koncentrálni.
