Abstract

Az 1999-es lengyel közoktatási reform az eredetileg nyolc évig tartó alapoktatást kilenc évre hosszabbította meg, bevezetett egy központi alaptantervet, és megváltoztatta a vizsgák, a felvételik és az értékelések rendszerét is. Az eddigi mérések arra utalnak, hogy a reform hozzájárult az OECD PISA-tesztjein mért teljesítmények javulásához - különösen a rosszul teljesítő diákok eredményei lettek jobbak. A reform hosszú távú, munkaerőpiaci hatásáról azonban mind ez idáig nem készült kutatás. Ebben a tanulmányban ezt a hiányt igyekszünk pótolni. Különbség a különbségekben módszerrel összehasonlítjuk a reform előtti és utáni kohorszok munkaerőpiaci jellemzőit, és arra a megállapításra jutunk, hogy a reformnak nem elhanyagolható, pozitív hatása volt a munkaerőpiaci esélyekre és a bérekre: 2-3 százalékkal növelte a foglalkoztatottá válás valószínűségét és körülbelül 3 százalékkal a béreket. A reform átlagos hatása a legalacsonyabb végzettségű munkavállalók megnövekedett eredményeinek tulajdonítható. Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: I21, I24, I26, J24.
