Work-Work- und Work-Life-Balance: Erfolgreiche Rollenintegration am Arbeitsplatz

Abstract

Durch flexible Arbeitszeiten und -Arbeitsplatzmodelle wird das Privatleben für viele Arbeitnehmer im Arbeitsleben präsenter. Multiple Rollen, wie etwa die Elternverantwortung und die Verantwortung im Job, miteinander zu integrieren kann hilfreich sein, um persönliche Ziele zu erreichen, gleichzeitig erhöht sich aber die Belastung. Kommunikationstechnologien spielen dabei eine wichtige Rolle: Einerseits können sie bei der Bewältigung der Mehrfachbelastung unterstützen, indem sie flexible Arbeitsmodelle ermöglichen, andererseits verstärkt ständige Erreichbarkeit die Konflikte zwischen den Lebensbereichen. Studien zeigen, dass die Belastung am Arbeitsplatz in den letzten Jahren drastisch gestiegen ist. Daher ist es wichtig, Rollenintegration am Arbeitsplatz zu untersuchen und aufzuzeigen, wie Unternehmen ihre Mitarbeiter im Umgang mit der einhergehenden Mehrfachbelastung unterstützen können. Anhand einer täglichen Befragung von 187 Arbeitnehmern über 13 Arbeitstage erfasst diese Studie die Rollenbelastung der Mitarbeiter/innen im Arbeitsalltag, deren Umgang damit und deren Auswirkungen auf arbeitsplatzrelevante Leistungsindikatoren.
