Abstract

Die Rechtstatsachenforschung zur Funktionsweise betrieblicher Mitbestimmung nimmt in ökonomischen und soziologischen Studien eine wichtige Rolle ein. Diese Studien haben allerdings über eine lange Zeit hinweg gesamtgesellschaftliche Implikationen vernachlässigt und ausschließlich jene Konsequenzen betrachtet, die sich auf betrieblicher Ebene ergeben. Erst seit Kurzem gehen Studien der Frage nach, welche Auswirkungen betriebliche Mitbestimmung auf das politische Interesse und die politischen Einstellungen von Beschäftigten hat. Der vorliegende Beitrag diskutiert die theoretischen Grundlagen, die zentralen empirischen Befunde und die politischen Implikationen.
