The delivery of urban internet users : Is the last mile mutualization so successful?

Abstract

A une époque où le BtoC se développe à un rythme soutenu, il paraît fondamental de se préoccuper de la problématique que représente la livraison des internautes urbains, qu'il s'agisse de livrer à domicile les commandes en ligne ou bien de permettre leur retrait sur des points de proximité. C'est l'objet de cet article, qui se limite cependant aux produits non alimentaires. La coopération pouvant permettre de surmonter l'obstacle du tout dernier kilomètre, l'accent est clairement mis sur le concept de mutualisation logistique. Plus concrètement, trois scénarios d'évolution de la distribution urbaine domestique sont présentés, puis analysés sur la base de simulations précises, dans le but d'évaluer leur niveau respectif de performance, tant sur le plan économique que sur le plan écologique.
