Abstract

Après des débuts quelque peu hésitants, notamment en France, le commerce électronique B to C rencontre enfin un réel succès : même la cyber-épicerie « décolle » ! Le développement de cette nouvelle forme de vente, le canal numérique, est alors l'occasion de ruptures et de mutations majeures, en particulier sur le plan logistique. Ne parle-ton pas d'ailleurs d'e-logistique pour désigner l'ensemble des opérations de préparation et de livraison des commandes en ligne ? Le bouleversement paraît même de taille : il s'agit en effet, dans le cadre du B to C, de livrer l'internaute à son domicile ou, tout du moins, de lui permettre de récupérer ses commandes sur des points de retrait. Rien de très aisé en fait surtout quand les villes connaissent une certaine congestion au niveau de la circulation des biens et des personnes et que le développement durable, présent sur toutes les lèvres, devient un axe prioritaire… C'est la raison de notre article, dont l'objectif se veut double. Il s'agit tout d'abord de faire le point sur les alternatives e-logistiques qui existent, tant du côté des commerçants en ligne que de celui des prestataires de services logistiques (PSL). Il s'agit ensuite de faire ressortir les conditions logistiques qui doivent permettre au commerce en ligne de se développer durablement au sein des cités.
