Transatlantische Mergers of Equals: Perspektiven europäisch-amerikanischer Unternehmensfusionen

Abstract

Spätestens seit der "Hochzeit im Himmel", der Fusion von Daimler mit dem US-amerikanischen Wettbewerber Chrysler im Jahr 1998, gelten Mergers of Equals als problematisch. In der Regel fördern sie unguten konzerninternen Wettbewerb, laden zu Stellenabbau ein, sorgen für Konflikte im Management und stellen eingespielte Arbeitsbeziehungen auf den Prüfstand. Diese Studie analysiert die Rolle von Mergers of Equals, stellt ausgewählte transatlantische Mergers of Equals in Kurzstudien vor und zeigt deren Folgen im Bereich der Arbeitsbeziehungen auf.
