Abstract

Can China's nuclear energy reduce CO2 emissions? As global climate change is dramatically increasing, countries move to friendly energy substitutions, contributing to carbon emission mitigation. In this circumstance, both academics and policy analysts have paid attention to nuclear energy. Moreover, this study aims to decrease public service contamination, so nuclear energy is the most cost-effective, large-scale, reliable, and low-carbon alternative for electricity production. To this end, the study examines the dynamic linkage among nuclear energy, public service transportation, real income, innovative technology with CO2 emissions for China. Our work employs a novel dynamic autoregressive distributive lag simulation for the years 1985–2018. Results analysis shows that negative and positive simulation graphs for nuclear energy consumption and innovative technology mitigate environmental pollution. On the other, hand public service transportation and income per capita increase the environmental cost. Therefore, decision-makers should boost nuclear power and benefit from the significant influence of a clean environment through innovative technology potentials.
