Zur Bepreisung von CO2-Emissionen – Ergebnisse aus dem Ökonomenpanel

Abstract

Die Bundesregierung hat sich ambitionierte Klimaziele gesetzt: Die Treibhausgasemissionen sollen bis zum Jahr 2020 um 40%, bis zum Jahr 2030 sogar um 55% sinken. Zum Erreichen dieser Klimaziele sprechen sich die meisten Ökonomen für eine Ausweitung des europäischen Emissionshandels auch auf Nicht-ETS-Sektoren, vor allem auf Gebäude und auf den Verkehrssektor, aus. Auch die Einführung einer nationalen CO2-Steuer für Sektoren außerhalb des EU-ETS findet bei den Teilnehmern des 24. Ökonomenpanel von ifo und Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung Anklang. Ein nationaler Emissionshandel und eine Ausweitung des Ordnungsrechts werden von deutlich weniger Ökonomen befürwortet.
