Per una teoria economico-civile dell'impresa cooperativa

Abstract

Storicamente, l'impresa cooperativa nasce dopo l'impresa capitalistica ed inizia ad espandersi, sia pure con modalita' e tassi di crescita diversi da paese a paese, all'interno dei sistemi economicamente piu' progrediti. Essa e' dunque un frutto per certi aspetti inatteso della civilta' industriale, un frutto che giunge a piena maturazione durante la Belle Epoque. Due le interpretazioni che e' possibile dare di tale fatto storico. La prima vede la cooperativa come la risposta ad uno specifico fallimento della forma capitalistica di impresa, come cioe' una sorta di rimedio ovvero di compensazione a cio' che quest'ultima non riesce ad ottenere ovvero a garantire. La seconda interpretazione, invece, giudica quello cooperativo un modo piu' avanzato di fare impresa in sistemi socialmente avanzati; e cio' nel senso che esso rappresenta il coronamento dell'aspirazione di quanti intendono il lavoro come occasione di autorealizzazione e non solo come fattore di produzione.
