Poder, Disputas y Geopolítica en el Sector Farmacéutico

Abstract

El sector farmacéutico alcanzó ingresos globales de 1,6 billones de dólares en 2023, consolidando su vasto poder económico y su influencia estratégica en la economía y la política contemporáneas. Este artículo, basado en una exhaustiva recopilación, sistematización y análisis de datos, examina las dinámicas de dicho poder e influencia. Se analizan el valor económico y político de las empresas del sector, las disputas entre corporaciones y naciones involucradas, el papel geopolítico desempeñado durante la pandemia de covid-19, así como la capacidad del sector para moldear políticas internas a través de su intensa interacción y financiación de legisladores y organismos de fiscalización y regulación.
