Abstract

The motivation and organizational involvement of receptionists is a concern for hoteliers , as they reflect the image of the establishment in the eyes of its customers. These two notions have long attracted the interest of researchers, but little research has been done on the possible links between them. The aim of this research is to reveal the possible relationships between the motivating factors defined by the theory of self-determination and the organizational implication among receptionists in the hotel industry. A significant effect of the implication on the motivating factors could be demonstrated thanks to a modeling in structural equations. Managerial implications will be presented at the end of the discussion.
