Établir des groupes de régions économiques comparables au Canada : une analyse par grappes

Abstract

Ce document présente une méthodologie développée afin de déterminer des groupes de régions comparables à l’échelle canadienne. Avec une démarche axée sur l’analyse par grappes, nous nous intéressons aux similarités entre les régions économiques canadiennes, un découpage géographique mis en place par Statistique Canada. Nous vérifions ensuite la répartition des régions entre les grappes à l’aide d’une analyse discriminante. Cette démarche permet de répartir les 69 régions économiques canadiennes entre 12 groupes de comparaison.
