Österreich 2025 – Industrie 2025: Wettbewerbsfähigkeit, Standortfaktoren, Markt- und Produktstrategien und die Positionierung österreichischer Unternehmen in der internationalen Wertschöpfungskette

Abstract

Wie Strukturanalysen der österreichischen Wirtschaft zeigen, vollzog sich der Strukturwandel in Österreich weitgehend innerhalb der Branchen und ging mit einer kontinuierlichen Verbesserung der Qualität der produzierten Waren und Dienstleistungen einher (Upgrading). Dennoch verlangsamt sich seit der Finanzmarkt- und Wirtschaftskrise die Wachstumsdynamik des Außenhandels der Sachgütererzeugung. Dies wirft Fragen in Bezug auf die künftige Entwicklung der österreichischen Industrie und des Industriestandortes Österreich auf. Anhand einer Unternehmensbefragung werden die Veränderung der Wertschöpfungsstrategien (insbesondere Produkt-, Sourcing- und Marktstrategien), die Positionierung in Wertschöpfungsketten und die Kernkompetenzen österreichischer Unternehmen erhoben und Implikationen für die Wirtschaftspolitik abgeleitet.
