Wachstum und Beschäftigung am Wirtschaftsstandort Dresden

Abstract

Während Dresden viele Jahre lang ein stärkeres Wirtschaftswachstum als der sächsische Durchschnitt aufwies, wächst Dresden seit 2005 nur noch unterdurchschnittlich. Gleichzeitig ist aber die Beschäftigung in der Stadt weiter überdurchschnittlich gewachsen. Die Analyse dieser auf den ersten Blick widersprüchlichen Befunde ist einer der Schwerpunkte der vorliegenden Studie, die ifo Dresden im Jahr 2011 im Auftrag der Landeshauptstadt Dresden erstellte. Weiterhin werden demographische Trends aufgezeigt und Veränderungen am Dresdner Arbeitsmarkt untersucht.
