Wirtschaftliche Entwicklung Sachsens im Ländervergleich: Bestandsaufnahme und Perspektiven: Gutachten im Auftrag der Sächsischen Staatskanzlei

Abstract

Der Freistaat Sachsen und die weiteren ostdeutschen Bundesländer haben sich in den vergangenen 20 Jahren auf vielen Feldern positiv entwickelt. Dazu gehören insbesondere die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung, die Verbesserung der Umweltsituation, der Ausbau der Infrastrukturen (u. a. in den Bereichen Verkehr, Städtebau und Forschungsinfrastruktur) sowie die Verbesserung der materiellen Lebensverhältnisse der Bevölkerung. Gleichwohl ist das Ziel gleichwertiger Lebensverhältnisse im Vergleich zu den westdeutschen Bundesländern noch nicht vollends erreicht. Die Studie zielt darauf ab, die bisherigen Entwicklungsfortschritte seit der deutschen Wiedervereinigung systematisch zu erfassen, verbleibende Defizite aufzudecken und wirtschaftspolitische Handlungsbedarfe für die kommenden Jahre zu identifizieren.
