Les déterminants de la non-conformité des produits agricoles subsahariens aux normes internationales

Abstract

L’objectif de cet article est d’analyser les déterminants de la non-conformité aux normes internationales des produits agricoles exportés d’Afrique subsaharienne. Les rejets de produits représentent dans certains cas plus de 20% de la valeur et 80% du volume des exportations. L’analyse économétrique à partir de plusieurs estimateurs alternatifs met en relief certains facteurs explicatifs des rejets des produits agricoles comme la mauvaise qualité des infrastructures de transport, l’exode rural et les pratiques agricoles, l’utilisation croissante des engrais chimiques et le durcissement des normes sanitaires et phytosanitaires dans les pays développés.
