Cambio de director técnico en el fútbol mexicano. Evidencia de 2009 a 2018/Coach change in Mexican football. Evidence from 2009 to 2018

Abstract

El presente trabajo estima el efecto en el desempeño de los equipos del futbol profesional mexicano de cambiar al entrenador a mitad de la temporada. El fútbol es el deporte más popular en el país y, sin embargo, poco se ha estudiado desde la academia. Una novedad del estudio es que se controla por la calidad de los jugadores. Los resultados de los diferentes modelos estimados indican que el cambiar de entrenador no produce una mejora en los puntos obtenidos ni en los goles a favor o en contra.
