Abstract

Near the critical point of fluids the frequency dependence of the viscosity as well as the diffusivity associated with the decay of order-parameter fluctuations can become significant. In this paper we review the theoretical and experimental results obtained for the frequency dependence of these transport properties in the close vicinity of the critical point.
