Gentechnik oder nicht Gentechnik - Bestimmungsgründe der Wahl von (nicht) gentechnisch veränderten Produkten

Abstract

Im Rahmen der Diskussionen um Verbrauchereinstellungen zu Grüner Gentechnik finden sich viele konträre Ergebnisse. Trotz einer häufig belegten Ablehnung gentechnisch veränderter Produkte zeigt sich, dass viele Verbraucher diese Produkte dennoch kaufen, wenn sie angeboten werden. Die empirische Arbeit auf Basis einer deutschlandweiten Zufallsstichprobe unter Verwendung eines Choice-Experiments stellt einen Beitrag zur Diskussion um die Diskrepanzen zwischen Einstellung und Verhalten beim Umgang mit Grüner Gentechnik dar. Es kann gezeigt werden, dass Einstellungsfaktoren einen signifikanten Einfluss auf die Kaufentscheidung von gentechnisch veränderten Produkten haben, sie aber schwächer als andere Faktoren ausgeprägt sind.
