Covid-19: Die Weltwirtschaft auf der Intensivstation: Erkenntnisse aus einer weltweiten Expertenumfrage

Abstract

Das ifo Institut hat rund 1 000 Ökonom*innen in 110 Ländern zu den Auswirkungen der Corona-Pandemie auf die Weltwirtschaft befragt: Ihren Antworten zufolge werden sich vor allem Investitionskürzungen erheblich negativ auswirken. Aber auch steigende Haushaltsdefizite der Staaten, geringere Konsumausgaben sowie Unternehmensschließungen und die Probleme in den internationalen Lieferketten werden als starke Behinderungsgründe gesehen. In der Folge werden für 2020 schwere Rezessionen in fast allen Ländern erwartet.
