Denken Jugendliche anders über Bildungspolitik als Erwachsene?

Abstract

Bisher hat das ifo Bildungsbarometer alljährlich die erwachsene Wahlbevölkerung befragt, welche Meinung sie zu bildungspolitischen Themen hat. In diesem Jahr wurden zusätzlich auch Jugendliche als die aktuellen Nutzer des schulischen Bildungssystems zu ausgewählten Themen befragt. Bei dem Vergleich der Ergebnisse der repräsentativen Stichprobe von über 1 000 Jugendlichen im Alter von 14 bis 17 Jahren mit der Erwachsenenstichprobe ergeben sich interessante Übereinstimmungen und Unterschiede darin, was Jugendliche und Erwachsene über die Bildungspolitik denken. Wie die Erwachsenen sind die Jugendlichen mehrheitlich für die Einführung von deutschlandweit einheitlichen Abschlussprüfungen, für deutschlandweit einheitliche Vergleichstests in verschiedenen Jahrgangsstufen, gegen die Abschaffung von Schulnoten und für Klassenwiederholungen bei schlechten Leistungen. Die große Mehrheit der Jugendlichen ist gegen geschlechtergetrennten Unterricht in Mathematik und Sprachen. Beim Sportunterricht ist die Meinung geteilter, mit einer leichten Mehrheit für geschlechtergetrennten Unterricht insbesondere unter den Mädchen. Deutliche Mehrheiten der Mädchen, aber auch der Jungen sind dafür, dass Themen wie Gleichstellung von Mann und Frau, Gewalt und Machtmissbrauch von Männern gegenüber Frauen und sexuelle Belästigung im Unterricht behandelt werden.
