Lebensqualität in den Regionen: Erste Ergebnisse für Deutschland

Abstract

Die Lebensqualität zeigt auf regionaler Ebene deutliche Unterschiede. In Westdeutschland weist vor allem der süddeutsche Raum eine Vielzahl von Annehmlichkeiten auf, für die auf dem Immobilienmarkt eine hohe Zahlungsbereitschaft besteht. In Ostdeutschland zeigt sich ein stärker differenziertes Bild. Dies folgt aus einer Studie des ifo Instituts zur Lebensqualität, die die in Immobilienpreisen enthaltenen Informationen über die Zahlungsbereitschaft nutzt, um Wertgrößen für die Annehmlichkeiten und Unannehmlichkeiten der Regionen zu ermitteln. Eine bestimmende Komponente der Lebensqualität ist vor allem die Situation am Arbeitsmarkt. Auch die natürlichen Gegebenheiten, die Bedingungen für Freizeit und Erholung und die besonderen Annehmlichkeiten der touristisch geprägten Regionen erklären einen großen Teil der Unterschiede. Darüber hinaus ergeben sich Differenzen in der Lebensqualität aus der örtlichen Kriminalität und der Verkehrsanbindung.
