ifo Konjunkturprognose Ostdeutschland und Sachsen 2017/2018: Ostdeutsche Wirtschaftwächst langsamer als die westdeutsche

Abstract

Deutschland befindet sich auf dem Weg in die Hochkonjunktur. Im Laufe des Jahres 2017 legten der Export und die Investitionen kräftig zu, gleichzeitig blieb die Situation am Arbeitsmarkt stabil. Hiervon kann auch Ostdeutschland profitieren. Aufgrund der eher binnenwirtschaftlichen Orientierung der ostdeutschen Wirtschaft bleibt die konjunkturelle Dynamik aber leicht hinter der gesamtdeutschen Entwicklung zurück. Insgesamt dürfte die ostdeutsche Wirtschaft im Jahr 2017 um 2,0 % gewachsen sein und 2018 mit gleichem Tempo expandieren. Im Freistaat Sachsen dürften die Zuwachsraten aufgrund der im ostdeutschen Vergleich etwas stärkeren außenwirtschaftlichen Orientierung mit 2,1 % bzw. 2,2 % etwas höher sein.
