Probleme anwendungsorientierter Forschung in den Sozialwissenschaften am Beispiel der Ausgründung choice

Abstract

Der vorliegende Bericht untersucht Praktiken und Probleme anwendungsorientierter For-schung in den Sozialwissenschaften am Fallbeispiel eines radikal anwendungsorientierten Forschungsprojekts, der sozialwissenschaftlichen Ausgründung choice mobilitätsproviding GmbH. Gefragt wird nach der methodisch-theoretischen Bilanz anwendungsorientierter For-schungspraktiken, wie sie sich im Fallbeispiel der choice manifestierten. Der Bericht gliedert sich in drei Teile. Die Einleitung untersucht, wie anwendungsorientierte sozialwissenschaftli-che Ansätze in der soziologischen Theoriedebatte beurteilt werden. Dabei werden verschie-dene Deutungsmodelle für intervenierende und anwendungsbezogene Forschungspraktiken diskutiert, die in der neueren Soziologie, insbesondere der Industrie- und der Wissenschafts-soziologie, von Bedeutung sind. Im zweiten Teil wird das empirische Fallbeispiel der choice vorgestellt. Der dritte Teil zieht eine methodisch-theoretische Bilanz der dargestellten For-schungspraktiken. Dabei werden das Ausmaß des Wissenstransfers beleuchtet und die damit verbundenen strukturellen Probleme anwendungsorientierter Forschung diskutiert. Das Schlusswort beleuchtet zusammenfassend die methodisch-theoretischen Chancen und Risi-ken sozialwissenschaftlicher Ausgründungen.
