Abstract

Die soziale Selbstverwaltung in der Gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung (GKV) ist immer wieder Gegenstand von Diskussionen und Reformvorschlägen. Ein Vorschlag ist dabei die Ergänzung der bisher in der Selbstverwaltung vertretenen Organisationen durch Patientenorganisationen. Dieser Vorschlag basiert auf der Ansicht, dass die in der Selbstverwaltung aktiven Gewerkschaften und Arbeitgeberverbände die Interessen der Patientinnen und Patienten nicht angemessen vertreten würden. Die Study setzt sich mit dieser Ansicht und entsprechenden Lösungsvorschlägen auseinander. Dabei wird insbesondere auch auf die Rolle der Gewerkschaften in der Selbstverwaltung eingegangen.
