Abstract

The problem of social and economical inequality of the Russian population - its nature, scope and prospects for reduction - are the most acute questions that pose the contours of contemporary social policy. Although the relevance of the research subject and a number of domestic and foreign experts referring to it, there are many gaps associated with lack of available methodological approaches, and also with the lack of clarity of laws that describe the current social and economic dispositions. The present study, the aim of which is the development and testing in pilot mode of monitoring of the social inequalities of the Russian population in the context of its basic economic categories (income and payroll), is implemented on the basis of a conceptual approach, which is based on the idea of isolating and analyzing the concentration of signs of the social strata.
