Existenzgründungen von Freiberuflern und Unternehmern Eine Mikroanalyse mit dem Sozioökonomischen Panel

Abstract

Zielsetzung der Untersuchung ist es, die Charakteristika und Bestimmungsfaktoren für eine Existenzgründung von Freiberuflern und Unternehmern (sonstige Selbständige) in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland anhand des Sozio-ökonomischen Panels (SOEP) für die Jahre 1991 bis 2001 aufzuzeigen. In einem über den Beobachtungszeitraum gepoolten Datenmodell wurden über 1.500 Gründungen, davon 459 Freiberufliche Gründungen, untersucht. Als empirische Methode wird die logistische Regression verwendet. Dabei konnten deutliche Unterschiede zwischen der Gruppe der Freien Berufe und den Unternehmern festgestellt werden. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass sich die Gruppe der freiberuflichen Existenzgründer von den Unternehmensgründern hinsichtlich der persönlichen Charakteristika, des mikrosozialen Umfeldes und des Humankapitals stark unterscheidet.
