Werden Frauen und Männer in NPO gleich bezahlt?

Abstract

Dass Frauen und Männer in der Arbeitswelt bis heute nicht nur in unterschiedlichem Ausmass Führungspositionen besetzen, sondern auf diesen Positionen auch unterschiedlich bezahlt werden, ist allgemein bekannt und wird als Beleg für bestehende Diskriminierung angeführt. Die im Auftrag des Bundesamts für Statistik und dem Eidgenössischen Büro für die Gleichstellung von Frau und Mann veröffentlichte Studie zur aktuellen Situation in der Schweiz stellt dar, dass Frauen in der Schweiz bei gleichem Beschäftigungsgrad rund 25 % weniger verdienen als Männer. Diese Unterschiede wachsen mit der hierarchischen Position: Während Frauen auf Positionen ohne Führungsfunktion 14 % geringere Gehälter beziehen, sind es auf den mittleren und oberen Kaderebenen durchschnittlich 22% bzw. 31%. Wie sehen die Vergleichszahlen für den Nonprofit- Sektor aus, und welche Faktoren müssen bei einer Analyse von Gehaltsunterschieden mitberücksichtigt werden?
