Abstract

Der Tätigkeitsansatz von Autor/Levy/Mumane (2003) formuliert einen positiven Zusammenhang zwischen der Technologieintensität und der relativen Nachfrage nach sogenannten Nicht-Routine-Tätigkeiten. Acemoglu/Autor (2010) argumentieren darüber hinaus, dass der Allokationsmechanismus von Qualifikationen und beruflichen Tätigkeiten in Nationalökonomien aufgrund imperfekter Funktionsweisen von Arbeitsmärkten eine eigenständige empirische Fragestellung ist. In diesem Fall ist anzunehmen, dass entsprechende Allokationsmechanismen eine jeweils unterschiedliche Wirkung auf die Erwerbstätigen haben, etwa im Bereich von Löhnen, dem Einsatz von (Computer-)Technologie am Arbeitsplatz oder dem Einsatz von berufsspezifischen und allgemeinen Kompetenzen. Die vorgelegten empirischen Analysen bestätigen dies für Erwerbstätige in Deutschland im Jahre 2006. Entsprechende Zugangsvoraussetzungen zu solchen Arbeitsplätzen spiegeln sich zu einem gewissen Teil im formellen Qualifikationsniveau der Erwerbstätigen wider. Im Jahr 2006 haben in Deutschland etwa 84 Prozent der erwerbstätigen Absolventinnen und Absolventen einer (Fach-)Hochschule eine Schwerpunkt im Bereich eher anspruchsvoller Nicht-Routinetätigkeiten, bei Personen mit einer abgeschlossenen dualen Berufsausbildung sind es etwa 38 Prozent.
