Interessante Absatzmärkte und Exportpotentiale für die österreichische Industrie

Abstract

In einem ersten Schritt identifiziert die Studie aufgrund eines Nachfrageindex dynamische Märkte außerhalb der EU und untersucht deren Nachfragestruktur auf ihre Übereinstimmung mit der Struktur des österreichischen Angebotes. Im zweiten Schritt wird Österreichs Wettbewerbsposition in diesen Ländern analysiert, um die Auswahl der Märkte zu überprüfen sowie Defizite in ihrer Bearbeitung allgemein und in bestimmten Branchen zu identifizieren. Ergänzend zu dieser Länderauswahl befragte das WIFO österreichische Industrieunternehmen zu den wichtigsten fördernden und hemmenden Faktoren für die Erschließung neuer Märkte und zu den interessantesten Zukunftsmärkten. Eine ökonometrische Analyse (Gravitationsansatz) mit panelökonometrischen Methoden liefert ein Erklärungsmuster für den österreichischen Export, mit dem aufgrund der mittelfristigen Wachstumsprognosen internationaler Organisationen für die Schwerpunktländer, für die in der Umfrage als besonders interessant eingestuften Märkte sowie für alle anderen osteuropäischen Staaten Exportpotentiale für die österreichische Industrie bis 2008 berechnet werden.
