Chancen für die österreichische Exportwirtschaft durch Klimaschutzprojekte

Abstract

Einer der im Kyoto-Protokoll festgelegten flexiblen Mechanismen zur Verringerung der Treibhausgasemissionen sind "Joint-Implementation-Projekte". Die im Rahmen dieser Projekte realisierte Emissionsreduktion wird den beteiligten Ländern gutgeschrieben. JI-Projekte werden als ein bedeutendes Instrument zur Erreichung der österreichischen Kyoto-Ziele angesehen. Das Potential für solche Projekte hängt neben der Angebotsstruktur heimischer Umwelttechnik von einer Reihe hemmender und förderlicher Charakteristika der potentiellen Gastländer ab. Dazu zählen das Potential für kostengünstige Maßnahmen zur Emissionsreduktion, wirtschaftliche Rahmenbedingungen und das Investitionsklima ebenso wie institutionelle Faktoren.
