Die österreichische Land- und Forstwirtschaft in einem neuen agrarpolitischen Umfeld

Abstract

Im Jahr 2021 wurden die agrarpolitischen Weichen im Rahmen der Gemeinsamen Agrarpolitik (GAP) neu gestellt. Im Dezember 2021 übermittelte Österreich seinen GAP-Strate¬gieplan an die Europäische Kommission. In ihm werden die Maßnahmen festgehalten, durch die der heimische Agrarsektor in den kommenden Jahren klima- und umweltfreundlicher, wettbewerbsfähiger und attraktiver für die Beschäftigten werden soll. Von dem neuen Plan sollen auch Impulse zur wirtschaftlichen Belebung des ländlichen Raumes ausgehen; zugleich soll die Versorgungssicherheit verbessert werden. Die wirtschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen für die Land- und Forstwirtschaft waren 2021 günstig. Dies äußerte sich in höheren Preisen für die im Primärsektor produzierten Güter und in einem Anstieg des Faktoreinkommens in der Landwirtschaft. Zudem profitierte Österreichs Agrarsektor weiterhin von Zahlungen zur Abfederung der wirtschaftlichen Folgen der COVID-19-Pandemie.
