CSV Strategy and Clustering for Improvement of the Stone and Marble Sector’s Competitiveness: Empirical Evidence from Hebron

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to devise a strategy for creating shared value in Hebron’s stone and marble sector through the use of a stone cluster. To achieve this goal, the study employed an experimental structural equation modeling (SEM) approach using the Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) software. A stratified random sample of 125 factories was selected, but only 102 factories were utilized in the study. The results of the empirical study suggest that creating shared value (CSV) through the cluster is more likely to enhance the competitiveness of the stone and marble sector than direct clustering alone. Business owners can promote this CSV strategy by activating the cluster through problem-solving, improving infrastructure, and teamwork. Therefore, the study suggests that improving Porter’s diamond factors for competitiveness through the creation of a shared value strategy within the cluster is crucial for the growth of this essential sector in the Palestinian economy.
