Les conséquences de l'union économique et monétaire de l'Allemagne

Abstract

[eng] This paper analyzes some of the consequences of the pending economic and monetary union of the two Germanys. Particular emphasis is given to the real implications for the supply side of the East Germany and for resource flows between the two economic regions. [fre] Cet article analyse certaines des conséquences de l'union économique et monétaire qui se réalise actuellement entre les deux Allemagnes. Après avoir brièvement rappelé les modalités pratiques de l'unification monétaire réalisée le 1er juillet 1990, l'impact monétaire et financier prévisible est analysé. Mais ce sont surtout les effets réels de l'union économique et monétaire allemande qui, au-delà du court terme, importent. En particulier, l'unification aura des conséquences réelles majeures sur l'offre dans l'économie est-allemande et implique le développement de flux financiers de grande ampleur entre les deux régions.
