Abstract

[fre] Le déclin de la demande de travail non qualifié. Une méthode d'analyse empirique et son application au cas de la France. . Le déclin de la part des salariés faiblement diplômés dans l'emploi s'explique en premier lieu par le manque de dynamisme de la demande s'adressant aux secteurs où ils sont proportionnellement nombreux. La diffusion des nouvelles technologies et le développement du commerce international ne semblent en revanche pas véritablement défavorables à la main-d'œuvre la moins formée. Nous testons et rejetons l'hypothèse d'un biais technologique. [eng] The decline in demand for unskilled labor. An empirical analysis method and its application to france. . The decline in the percentage of unskilled workers in total French employment is chiefly due to the slackness of domestic demand for those industries with the highest proportion of such workers. The new technologies do not seem to have been particularly conducive to substitutions of skilled labor for unskilled labor in individual industries and occupations. We test and reject the biased technical changes hypothesis.
