Abstract

[eng] Productivity and quality effects of automatization : a macroeconomic approach. . This paper on automatization and economie growth under lines the specificity of the present reorganization of work in manufacturing industries.. It distinguishes the usual productivity effects from quality effects which enlarge the market.. Speed and level of diffusion of new technics in the seven main OECD countries allow for some tentative estimation of these quality effects. Simple economic tests illustrate the method.
