Using Schwartzs Model To Examine The Influence Of Individual Values On Management Of Software Development: Thai Case Study

Abstract

The management of software development is a vital factor which leads to the success of the software project. The most important component involved in the project is the team members. Higher-order values of Thai IT professionals affect the software development management practices. In this research, we found that self-transcendence, openness to change, self-direction, benevolence and universalism have influence on every software development practice. However, conflicting individual value are also involved. Mixed individual values are required for the smooth performing and conducting software development management practices. Moreover, Thai IT professionals are influenced by professional and Thai national culture.
