Abstract

This paper is concerned with the synchronization problem of quaternion-valued coupled systems. It is worth mentioning that it is the first time that intermittent event-triggered control is used to study quaternion-valued coupled systems, which coupled strength is also quaternion-valued. At first, it can be proved that event-triggered control can exclude Zeno behavior. Then, on the basis of graph theory and Lyapunov method, a synchronization criterion is given, whose conditions are closely related to coupled structure, event-triggered constant and uncontrolled rate. Moreover, quaternion-valued Chua’s circuits are considered for the first time, which is an application of our theoretical results. Finally, corresponding numerical simulations are presented to show the effectiveness of the theoretical results.
