Fluchtmigration – Chancen und Herausforderungen für den Einzelhandel

Abstract

Der starke Flüchtlingszuzug 2015 und 2016 hat sich im Handel bemerkbar gemacht: Hinter dem starken Anstieg der Einzelhandels- und Lebensmittelumsätze ist auch die Wirkung des Flüchtlingszuzugs zu vermuten. Die Frage, inwieweit Flüchtlinge als Arbeitskräfte im Einzelhandel tätig sein können, muss differenziert beantwortet werden. Die Anforderung der Einzelhändler nach qualifiziertem Personal auf der einen Seite und das relativ niedrige Bildungsniveau vieler Flüchtlinge auf der anderen Seite sind nicht leicht kompatibel, so dass ein ideales Matching am Arbeitsmarkt zumindest kurzfristig nicht möglich sein wird.
