Determinanten der Standortwahl von Unternehmen : ein Literaturüberblick

Abstract

Aus Sicht der Wirtschaftspolitik kommt Standortentscheidungen von Unternehmen eine besonders wichtige Rolle zu, weil Entscheidungen zugunsten eines bestimmten Standorts für die entsprechende Region mit einem Ausbau oder zumindest der Sicherung der Zahl von verfügbaren Arbeitsplätzen verbunden sind. Neben diesen direkten Beschäftigungseffekten von Standortentscheidungen ist mit einer Reihe von indirekten Effekten zu rechnen. Der vorliegende Beitrag ist der erste von drei geplanten Beiträgen zu Standortfragen. In diesem Beitrag wird zunächst beleuchtet, welche Dimensionen die Problematik der Standortwahl insgesamt aufweist und welche Faktoren einen Einfluss auf die Standortwahl haben. Der Beitrag gibt zudem auch einen Überblick über die bereits vorliegende empirische Evidenz zur Bedeutung unterschiedlicher Standortfaktoren.
