Zur Mindestlohnerhöhung auf 12 Euro

Abstract

Seit seiner Einführung im Jahr 2015 ist der gesetzliche Mindestlohn von 8,50 Euro brutto je Stunde in mehreren Schritten auf derzeit 9,82 Euro angehoben worden, und eine weitere Erhöhung auf 10,45 Euro ist für Juli 2022 vorgesehen. Jede der bislang beschlossenen Mindestlohnerhöhungen erfolgte dabei auf Empfehlung der Mindestlohnkommission. Ein Gesetzentwurf der Bundesregierung sieht nun vor, dass der Mindestlohn am 1. Oktober 2022 einmalig auf 12 Euro angehoben werden soll. Die nächste Anpassung ist für Januar 2024 vorgesehen und soll wieder auf Empfehlung der Mindestlohnkommission erfolgen.
