Digitalisierung in Kleinbetrieben: Ergebnisse aus Baugewerbe, Logistik und ambulanter Pflege

Abstract

* Digitalisierung kommt in kleinen und mittelständischen Unternehmen (KMU) schleppend voran. Es fehlt eine unternehmerische Digitalisierungsstrategie. Vielmehr dominieren Einzellösungen in betrieblichen Teilbereichen. * Der Begriff "Digitalisierung" ist insbesondere für Kleinunternehmen häufig wenig aussagekräftig. Obwohl in den Unternehmen ein breites Spektrum digitaler Technologien und Geräte zum Einsatz kommt, werden diese zunächst nicht mit dem Begriff "Digitalisierung" in Verbindung gebracht. * Digitalisierung konkretisiert sich in KMU in erster Linie als Anwendung von Informationstechnik, wohingegen eine arbeitsorientierte Nutzung digitaler Technik derzeit eher selten im Fokus der Unternehmen steht. Der Zusammenhang zwischen Digitalisierung und ihren Verbesserungspotenzialen für Arbeitsprozesse wird kaum oder gar nicht reflektiert. * Als zentrale Problemfelder definieren KMU die hohen Anschaffungskosten, den betrieblichen Aufwand für Planung, Organisation, Qualifizierung und Personalentwicklung sowie fehlendes Wissen und fehlende betriebliche Kapazitäten für systematische Reorganisationsstrategien im digitalen Wandel. * Bestehende Fördermöglichkeiten (Land/Bund) für KMU zur Einführung digitaler Technik sind kaum bekannt und werden wenig in Anspruch genommen.
