Abstract

Die Diagnose einer chronischen Erkrankung führt bei einem Teil der Betroffenen zu teils deutlichen Einkommenseinbußen. Ein Grund ist, dass eine chronische Erkrankung die Altersdynamik des Erwerbseinkommens abbremst, teilweise sogar zum Stillstand bringt. Ein weiterer Grund ist ein erhöhtes Arbeitslosigkeits- und Erwerbsminderungsrisiko von chronisch erkrankten Personen. Chronische Erkrankungen stellen ein ernstes Erwerbs- und Einkommensrisiko dar, weil sie in langer Sicht das Alterseinkommen negativ beeinflussen und somit das Risiko von Altersarmut erhöhen können
